The soul’s Bodhisattva or compassionate nature is our natural state. It is our innate sense of being and our body is a mere vehicle to penetrate and inhabit this material universe. These vehicles or bodies are not perfect, in fact, they are often clouded by worldly imperfections. Awareness' pilot however is still centered in enlightenment. It navigates our awareness to comprehend these imperfections and thwart them. This is the purpose of Hinayana Buddhism (and other paths) whose practices teach the mind to recognize mental chatter. Chatter foolishly attempts to identify itself as your identity when the truth is that in trying to fathom one's true identity one only grasps the nebulous shadow of the real self. When we surrender the stains that cling to our spotless higher mind, we can observe the real perfection that dwells in each of these physical bodies.
The Hindu greeting 'Namaste' really sums this concept up in its simple meaning that clearly implies, “ My soul recognizes your soul.” Transcending the mammalian view that starts with imperfect creatures going into divinity, may appear perilous in our over-saturated age of information, yet it is attainable if we risk it. Over the last 100 years, the paradigm has been the dispensing of News, Weather, and Sports as the common threads that tie culture and its moiré together. The apparent degradation has smoothly but sadly transitioned our values of love to what it is worth in dollars and cents. Perceiving reality through compassion's eyes is never an intention with a concealed purpose and its opinion button is forever obscured.
Yet, in a split second, we identify synchronistically, the deepest impossible love in the twinkle of an eye. Even though social idioms predicate that we reduce this marvelous phenomenon to a worldly common denominator of suspicious improbability, our hearts do illuminate when love is recalled. There was a time when the act of kissing scars and nurturing flaws with love’s essence was the normal paradigm between those reconnected. Our duty to heal pain in love’s awesome resonance was the symptom of our mutual divine intervention, thereby becoming the solution to any obstacle if its premise started with the recognition of our divinity. How could love be seen as anything else?
But, this perplexes both sexes under the skin because of the alleged sobering thoughts of multimedia advertisers today that shape every concept of human sexuality and claim it as popular culture and truth. It must be our predication to steer our collective awareness towards spirituality’s cause, namely that we are greater than the sum of our parts; to realize that the false veneer is simple to remove and disclose our secret spiritual identity. It is also to discover just how scared we have become to reach out and touch someone’s heart. Even in the face of this, our spiritually seems to suddenly pierce the veil of these illusions in a language that is understood without words at all.
There is no concrete evidence for how well spiritual coupling fares over a lifetime. Instincts tell us that this higher nature is truly the binding glue of real love connection uncovered miraculously, albeit randomly. In simple terms, fear over sexuality’s marketplace performance is defined by the adage, "Love equals Sex” and if you are not getting sex immediately there is no love and most partners move on. However, the fate of love is fearless and rises above these earthly unnecessary conundrums and when risked the outcome is self-evident. We innately feel the resolve of perfection that sings to us despite the influences of harsh conditions of our environment that defines and dictates the truth to us. Despite the odds of economic conditions or unbefitting circumstances, the endurance of a true spiritual connection will endure if meant to be. This realization doesn’t come overnight, in fact, it takes time. The time to take a very clear look at beauty despite the conventional definitions of beauty that have been fed to us since childhood. If we care to look beyond the veneer, we can immediately understand that beauty is not just skin deep. This is also true about our spiritual awareness’s evolution - which is the ability to not be led astray by physical forces that would direct us into unstable coupling, rather work out our personal inability to, “Know thy Self.”
So I urge you to see the perfection, be the osmosis that raises the vibration from primitive to divine! Is the glass half empty or half full? This is the query of consciousness that needs to be directed. Your partner is approaching, their shadow is just on the horizon’s edge. The light is rising now to reveal their face and at that moment your soul will immediately understand. One of the real hazards is to not let the illusion of demons, scars, or physical imperfections falter your gaze when the image begins to shine. The other is to become afraid of your own shortcomings or believe that such a connection is impossible to achieve.
As for the search, well that is also a part of the illusion because we all know that love is not predictable. It arrives when you are ready. It is merely the duty of our awareness to protect it when it arrives with every ounce of our immaculate spotless hearts and minds.
There are many teachings, philosophies, spiritual paths to shine the light and burn off the fog to reveal the self. I am not prescribing anyone. But I suggest seeking out something that can take your gaze into the sublime beauty of existence. I know that we are perfection incarnate, the evidence is with every baby's smile, mother's loving glow, and exaltation of fearless men and women who dare to fall in love and preserve its splendor. It is the perfect still flame that burns in the darkest night of the soul reminding consciousness that love is possible. Years of programming that Taboo is the switch, instead of the value of spiritual connection, is the real imperfection. When sexy becomes the look in someone's eyes that has that certain twinkle that unifies and bonds us - we’ve arrived. The true source of sexy was never the french-maid outfit, handcuffs, or the sexual acrobats we see on the internet. Sexy has always been the innate beauty of two souls resonating on this amazing journey called life. Geeze can’t we just learn how to look nice, talk respectfully, get out on the dance floor and trip the lights fantastic!
